the Web, music which I enjoy and which play resonably well through the
MIDI-plugin on my machine (much music I like does not fare well in this
format, yet). Most of the files are in Pierre Schwob's outstanding Classical Midi Archive. A
lot of info on MIDI files (plus basics on how to configure your machine to
play them) can be found in Charles Kelly's Standard MIDI Files on the Net.
Dual listing of a work means I still haven't decided which one to retain.
Try this. Start some music on this page, then open a second browser window and do something else while listening. You could listen to Rachmaninoff's Variations on a Theme by Paganini while reading about the movie "Somewhere in Time" which used the theme. Or listen to Eine Kleine Nachtmusik while enjoying your favorite painter or poet.
