A Shop Step-stool: I found a give-away plan for a step-stool on the net (click below) and figured I could easily make a simpler, cheaper version for my shop. It replaces the overturned bucket I used to stand on to reach top shelves or the ceiling (the bucket literally overturned under a friend of mine one day - the step stool is much safer).

Mine was made with 3/4" plywood. I cut out two L-shaped pieces (the sides) with one cut, then two treads, then two triangles to brace the upper rear corners, and one strip across the rear bottom. I sanded the edges to eliminate splinters. The space between the rear braces works well as a handle.
