The Dome-Lidded Chest, ETEC 231, Fall 2001 (my second woodworking project)
notes: The chest began as a 1" x 8" x 8' pine board from Lowe's in Burlington, sawed into four pieces for bus transport to WWU. Nearly everything was done with power tools. The finish is three coats of tung oil. The picture on the front of the chest can be changed (the top of its frame is secured with two screws from the inside). It is a cropped version of the one on my homepage, a composite of six pictures I took of Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands, printed on Office Depot's "canvas cloth."
