Mission-Style Arm Chair: This project came from some online plans by WOOD magazine, Dec 2002. I decided to try it using pine and hemlock since they're much less costly than oak. I was very pleased with the result. The seat is also my first effort at upholstering anything. I decided to skip the false through tenon on the arms since pine would have become easily marred; instead, I used two screws with wood plugs. I also skipped the v-notch in the upper back rail (mirror of the lower front rail) due to a knot which would have interfered.
